When I talk about fear, I’m not talking about your instincts, which alert you to danger, or the common sense you’ve acquired in life, which keeps you from doing harmful things.
The fear I’m talking about is the strong, unpleasant emotion that expects something bad to happen.
This type of fear is the root cause of every negative thought that eats away at your self-confidence and every worry that keeps you up at night. It is the voice that makes you doubt yourself.
Fear is what stands between you and a happy, successful life. It holds you back from your potential. It’s the source of all your worries.
You defeat the voice of fear by replacing it with the voice of faith. Faith is the opposite of fear.
To have personal faith means believing you have what it takes to succeed.
To have spiritual faith means trusting God will guide you and help you on your journey through the ups and downs of life.
To have practical faith in times of adversity means expecting problems to be temporary, expecting to find solutions, and expecting good things to come your way as long as you keep moving forward.
Faith is the voice that empowers you!
In your mind, faith and fear are in a constant battle. The side that wins this battle will determine the direction of your life.
Faith tells you why you can achieve something; fear tells you why you can’t.
You must take control of your self-talk and replace fear-based thoughts with faith-based thoughts.
That’s how you choose faith over fear.
